August Update
Hello McMonagles............how the hell are you?

Serenity
It's been a while since our last updates and I have a million excuses for not being more prompt, and every one a doozie, but I won't bore you with that. However I will add that there was alcohol, a salmon and a three hour chase from members of the Fife Constabulary!

I was just about to update this when Michael pipped me to the post…..literally. Since our last update we have added two new members to the extended McMonagle Clan. Young Ross, (with that Christian name, it’s got to be a Scotland Strip..eh Michael!) and Serenity, who was born on 15th May 2007 to Dawn and Grant. Best wishes to mums, dads, grannies, grandas, uncles, aunties and anyone else who feels they need congratulated at this time.

Euan and Lisa getting
married on 25th August. Good Luck!
Happy Birthday to all those we missed during our absence and that extends to those ever loving McMonagle married couples, who's anniversaries we also missed. We hope you all had a great day!
This month we're celebrating birthdays at both ends of the age spectrum, Ross Michael Scott's actual Birth Day and over in Canada, one of our more mature relations, James " Scotty" McMonagle is celebrating his 76th. Special birthday wishes also go to Karlyn McMonagle.

Wedding fever is gripping Paisley with the upcoming nuptials of Lisa Stirling and her bo Euan on August 25th. Here's a wee pic of the loving couple and I'm sure you will join me in wishing them all the best for the future................Hark at me, sound like I'm giving a toast...eejit!!!

Apart from the two new additions and the pending wedding I don't have a lot to add on the genealogy front, I'll get back to it during the winter months when I have more time on my hands and hopefully my new laptop.

Ross Michael Scott

Ross (click image for pictures)

Julie Scott (nee McMonagle) gave birth to a beautiful baby boy Ross Michael Scott at 1:03am on Wednesday 1st August. Proud dad Jamie and grandmother Joyce were both present at the birthing pool event while grandad Michael (aye me) was busy falling down the hospital stairs. The wee fella weighed in at a healthy 6lbs 14oz with a full head of black hair all styled an parted in a trendy fashion bless 'im!

Mother and son both well and recuperating at home in Hemel Hempstead while grandad (aye me) applies Arnica to a bruised arm and dented dignity.

The only dilemna now is.... Scotland shirt? England shirt? Tough call!

Toni 'Macaroni' - Big No.18

Toni gets legal! Click for more!
Toni celebrated her 18th Birthday in true style with a tour round Glasgow in a Barbie Limo - the champagne (non-alcohol) was flowing, music was pumping, kids were screaming oot the windees - I am just glad I wasnt there !!!!

Today, as customary in Scotland when you celebrate your 18th birthday, she had her first legal drink - a glass of wine with her Nana !!

Congratulations Toni and many happy returns from all the McMonagle's worldwide!
